Jeffrey Steven Evans “Uncle Steve”, 53, of Valparaiso formerly of Lafayette, passed away suddenly, Monday, July 19, 2010 at home.  He was born November 16, 1956 in Lima, Ohio the son of David W. & Roiann (Burton) Evans, and graduated from Culver Military Academy in 1975.  He worked at McGill’s Manufacturing in Valparaiso, then as a Test Driver for Subaru Isuzu in Lafayette.  Steve was a member of the ABATE motorcycle organization, the NRA and Sons of the American Legion, in Safety Harbor, Florida.
Survivors include his mother, Roiann Lee of Clearwater, FL, sister, Lori Evans of Valparaiso, nieces: Courtney, Stephanie, Samantha & Alexandria Evans and special friends: Maryann Hart of Valparaiso & Linda Cook of Florida.  Steve was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, who’s easy charm worked its way into your heart.  He always had a smile for anyone he met, his cup always half full, not half empty, no matter what detours life threw his way.  His special bond with his nieces will always be our most treasured memory.
A memorial celebration for family and friends will be held Sunday, July 25^th from noon until 3:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 805 Elm St., Valparaiso.
