James Dwight Breneman died peacefully at the age of 80 in Valparaiso, Indiana on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. He was born in Paris, Illinois on June 11, 1940 to Francis and Mary (Wheeler) Breneman. Jim was drafted into the United States Army as Military Police (M.P.) from 1966-1968 where he spent most of his time stationed between Fort Benning, Georgia and Fort McClellan, Alabama. He was a carpenter by trade, and owned his own company, BrenCor which he was very proud of. He was happily married on February 23, 1985 to his wife of Judy (Weinke) Breneman.  Jim was from a large family and will be remembered as a loving father, stepfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, grandpa, and great grandpa. He is survived by his wife Judy Breneman of Valparaiso, children Rebecca Breneman of Indianapolis, James Breneman of California, Jennifer (Ira) Perez of California, stepchildren Sherry McCoy of Union Mills, Bev Welter of Valparaiso, Sheila (Mike) Sutter of Kouts, Robbie Scott of Westville, Chuck Hall of Washington D.C., and Bob (Dottie) Hall of Virginia as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mary and siblings Donald Breneman, Shirley (Breneman) Wates, Carolyn (Breneman) Shepard, Beverly (Breneman) Nelson, and Clarence Breneman.
A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 8th from 1- 3 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm.
