Beth Louise Finney, 62, of Kouts passed away Monday, July 11, 2022. She was born October 31, 1959 in McKeesport, PA to Duane & Lois (Kirmeyer) Finney, and graduated from Portage High School in 1977. Beth began her career with First National Bank in their mortgage department. Her own health issues and caring spirit caused her to gravitate towards home health care where she assisted numerous individuals locally over the years. Kouts schools were also near and dear to her heart, serving in various supporting roles, but particularly assisting the Athletic Department. The town of Kouts was also a beneficiary of her devotion as she filled positions on boards and committees enthusiastically to better her community. Despite the long-term presence of crutches in her life due to spinal issues, she invariably had a smile on her face whenever out in public. At home her son, Spencer and his family were always foremost in her thoughts followed closely by her beloved boxer, “King”.
Survivors include her son, Spencer (Randi) Finney of Kouts, grandchildren, Audree, Grayson & Alister Finney, two precious twin grandbabies due to arrive at any time, her mother, Lois Finney of Valparaiso, sister, Linda (Greg) Racich of Portage, brother, David (Susan) Finney of Kentucky, and many loving, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Finney in 1995.
An open house gathering will take place on Saturday, July 23rd from 2 – 5 pm at New Hope Missionary Church in Malden, 402 S. State Road #49, with memorial service beginning at 5:00 pm.  Memorial donations may be made to the family.
