Daniel James “Boone” Anderson, 42 of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Riverdale, IL, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026. He was born October 22, 1983, in Evergreen Park, IL, to Bruce and Catherine (Mannella) Anderson. Daniel had worked as a landscaper with RLM for many years in Northwest Indiana. Previously, he held a position in the assembly line at Task Force Tips for several years. Daniel enjoyed go-karts, RC car racing, and watching car shows. He liked watching sports and cheering for the Cubs, Bears, and Bengals. Daniel loved spending time with his family, especially his wife and kids. They had fun going swimming and taking trips to Zao Island. Daniel had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He will be fondly remembered as a loving father and a devoted husband, who will be dearly missed every day.
On October 10, 2015, at Ogden Gardens in Valparaiso, Daniel married the love of his life, Erica Raschke, who survives, along with their children: James Anderson, Liliana Anderson, and Cora Anderson; his parents: Bruce and Catherine Anderson; brothers: Clinton Anderson and Matthew Anderson; nieces and nephews: Joey Anderson, Emily Anderson, and Gavin Raschke; uncle and aunt: Tony and Connie Mannella; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Don and Ann Raschke; sisters-in-law: Heather (Alan) Raschke and Hannah (Carson) Rhodes; and many loving extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Bob Mannella; and grandma, Jean Mannella.
A celebration of Daniel’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Erica Anderson for the care and education of their children.
