With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Julia Ann Dommermuth, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the age of 68.
Born on May 4, 1958, to the late Merrill (Fred) and Patricia (Spiess) Beecher. Julia graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1976. She was a member of the LaCrosse United Methodist Church. Julia lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She touched countless lives with her generous heart, warm smile, and compassionate spirit.
On June 19, 1982, Julia married the love of her life, Russell Dommermuth. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and unwavering devotion to one another. They had just celebrated 44 years of marriage, a milestone that reflected the strength of their bond and the countless memories they shared.
Julia dedicated 21 years of her career to American National Can, later known as Rexam, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those who worked alongside her.
Above all, Julia was devoted to her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved, creating memories that will be cherished forever. She especially loved family outings to Indiana’s state parks, where simple moments together became treasured traditions. One of her favorite times each year was attending the Covered Bridge Festival with Russell. Those annual trips were filled with laughter, togetherness, and memories that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family.
Julia will be remembered for her resilience, gentle nature, caring heart, and the unconditional love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her strength and grace through life’s challenges inspired those around her, and her legacy of love will continue through the family she cherished so deeply.
Julia is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Russell Dommermuth; her daughters, Tara (Kenneth) Doll and Caitlin (Ryan) Landis; her cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Wyatt, and Ella Doll, and Liam and Amelia Landis; her brother, Terry (Donna) Beecher; her sisters-in-law, Katherine Beecher, Edna (Neal) Van Dorsten and Jill Richards; her brothers-in-law Bill Dommermuth and Michael Dommermuth; her uncle, LaVern (Rebecca) Beecher; along with many nieces and nephews, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merrill and Patricia Beecher; her father and mother-in-law, George and Mary Dommermuth; her brother, Bruce Beecher; her aunts and uncles, Carl and Ardena Barbieri, Hugh and Percilla Wright, and John and Sharon Doll; her brother-in-law Jeff Richards; her sister-in-law Judy Dommermuth; and her nephews Jason Beecher and Keating Van Dorsten.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Julia is now at peace. Her love, wisdom, quiet strength, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always.
A visitation will be held Thursday, July 2nd from 9 – 11 am at LaCrosse First United Methodist Church with funeral service beginning at 11:00 am, Rev. Randy Schrock officiating and burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to LaCrosse First United Methodist Church.

Our deepest condolences for your loss. A Everything in her obituary is true and so much more. It gives us peace that Robin has her dear friend with her. We can't say enough what it meant to us the support she gave Robin during the time she struggled with her illness. Julie was a great friend to her always. Julie never had a bad word to anyone.
