June L. Kaiser, 100 years old, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was born June 24, 1924, in Tefft, IN, to the late Conrad and Emma (Kain) Meyer, and graduated from Tefft High School. June was a very active member of the Valparaiso Nazarene Church, and enjoyed involvement with Gideons International and the Women’s Auxiliary. June had a passion and exquisite talent for design and interior decorating. She was an accomplished seamstress, watercolor artist, excellent cook (especially pies and gourmet dinners), and a seasoned treasure hunter at garage sales. Her husband, Bill, a P-51 pilot during World War II, was so proud of her and named his plane “Pretty Redhead” after her. She loved to serve God by giving Gideon New Testaments to people who had need and for years she maintained the Cradle Roll for young mothers and mentored so many. June will be remembered for her thoughtful and considerate nature, her generosity, and her genuine appreciation for those who helped her along the way. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed.
On December 11, 1943, June married William G. Kaiser, who preceded her in death in 2012. She is survived by their sons: Steven (Carolyn) Kaiser of Prospect, KY and Dean Kaiser of Valparaiso, IN; grandchildren: Alison (Jeff) Kaiser-Haynes, Darren (Bonnie Anne) Kaiser, and Ethan (Julie) Kaiser; and great-grandchildren: Noelle, Emma, Cara, Charlotte, Sophia, Ellianna, August, and Annabelle. She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 4 sisters.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, IN, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. June’s family would like to thank the staff at the Life Care Center of Valparaiso for the loving care they gave to her.
