Justin Hunt, 48 of Valparaiso, bravely passed away at home on September 10, 2026 surrounded by love. A wonderful son, brother, uncle, friend, and beloved Valparaiso University faculty member of more than 25 years, Justin touched countless lives through his kindness, humor, and genuine love for others.
He was known for his kind spirit, infectious humor, and deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He loved volleyball, spending time with his beloved rescue dog, Wilson, and being surrounded by his friends. He especially cherished time outdoors, whether hiking or simply enjoying a beautiful sunny day that wasn’t too hot. A sunny day never went unappreciated by Justin. He also had a true love for sweet treats and baking, finding joy in both creating and enjoying something delicious.
He is survived by family, dear friends, and the many people whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a community of people who knew and loved him for who he truly was and who will carry his memory with them always.
