Kurtis Michael Foldesy, 57, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026.  He was born on June 8, 1969, in Valparaiso, the son of Rudolph Paul and Ramona Mae (Whitcomb) Foldesy. Kurt proudly made his career through the Teamsters Union Local 142, dedicating 29 years of hard work to G.E. Marshall in Valparaiso.  An avid motorcycle rider, Kurt’s love for two wheels spanned from his early days on dirt bikes to his beloved Harley-Davidson. Known truly as a gentle giant, his charismatic, giving, humorous, and deeply kind personality left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Kurt had the rare gift of being able to make friends anywhere he went, effortlessly filling any room with laughter and smiles.

Kurt is survived by his former wife, Venessa Foldesy; children, Scott (Brittany) Pergler, Deana Albertson-Spears, Dhamon Lane, Brittany, and Tiffany; grandchildren, Silas, Brian, Cameron, and Amaniann; sister, Vianne McNamara; nieces, Angela, Missy, Nichole, Christa, Michelle, and Amy; and many extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Kevin Foldesy and Bonnie Bucaro. 

A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Celebration of life to be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local American Legion.
