Lucille Ann “Brownie” Michiaels, 91, of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026. She was born February 27, 1935, in Boone Grove, Indiana to William G. & Alta G. (Huffman) Dibbern and attended Boone Grove Schools. Lucille made her career with Porter Memorial Hospital in their Dietary Department for 25 years. As the mother of three rambunctious boys and the wife of a motorcycle loving husband, Brownie proved her mettle as the rock of the household.
On December 2, 1950, she married Earl K. Michiaels who preceded her in death in 2011. Survivors include their son, Garry (Lynn) Michiaels of Wanatah, 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Gregg & Jerry Michiaels, daughter-in-law, Brenda Michiaels, 2 grandsons; James & Clinton, 3 sisters: Dorothy, Gladys & Phyllis, and 3 brothers: Kenneth, George & Roger.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 19th from 10 am – 12 noon at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon.
