Todd and Tricia Rosenbaum, both 60 of Wanatah, passed away side by side on the evening of Thursday, August 27, 2026, as they were preparing to build their dream cabin with a wraparound porch overlooking the fully stocked pond and firefly field. Together they stepped from their piece of Heaven on Earth to their eternal home in Heaven.
Todd Arnold “Rosie” Rosenbaum was born June 25, 1966, in LaPorte, IN, to the late Arnold and Nancy (Tofte) Rosenbaum. He graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1984, and attended Southwestern Michigan College, where he played basketball. Later, Todd also received certificates from Purdue University. Todd was a fourth generation, lifelong farmer and self-proclaimed “Agricultural Engineer” by trade. He was dedicated to the farm and never stopped working through rain, shine, or sickness. Todd was proud to be the owner of Circle R Farm and Hoosier Quality Meats with his wife. They also raised Rosenbaum show cattle and show pigs. Todd enjoyed watching Purdue Basketball, spending time with his grandchildren, and favorite dog, Diesel, and declaring his allegiance to John Deere farm equipment.
Patricia Jean Rosenbaum was born February 7, 1966, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Garland Raymond and Shirley (Ridge) Weaver. She attended Elston High School in Michigan City, and graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Monterey Park, CA in 1984. She received her real estate license from McColly School of Real Estate, and spent 30 years as a real estate insurance agent. After retirement, Tricia became a full-time farmer with her husband, and enjoyed every minute of feeding the cows and working the fields. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading her Bible, relaxing by the pond, and their anniversary trips to the U.P. in Michigan. Tricia was also a member of the Wanatah American Legion Post 403 and a Cass Township Board Member.
Todd and Tricia were previous members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wanatah, where they were married on September 3, 1994. They had also enjoyed CB Radios, earning them the handles, “Aqua” and “Cow Pie Patty”. Together, Todd and Tricia built a life they loved, and a family they cherished. Nothing brought them greater joy than being with their children and grandchildren.
Todd and Tricia are survived by their children: Alexandria Bucher, Jillian Rosenbaum, and Jonathan (Lauren) Rosenbaum. They were “Nana” and “Papa” to their five grandchildren: Laken Blasko, Bane Bucher, Adilynn and Ireland Garrison, and Vaeda Rosenbaum.
Todd is also survived by his sisters: Michelle (Joe) Dyjak and Renee (Joe) Rudolph; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Drew Rhed.
Tricia is survived by her siblings: Terry (Donna) Manley and Kristina (Donald O’Brien) Marshall; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susie Acker.
Todd will be remembered as a hardworking and strong-willed family man, and a loving father and grandfather. Tricia will be remembered as a devout Christian with a heart of gold, and a dedicated mother and grandmother. Todd and Tricia will live on in the lives they touched while they were here. They will be fondly remembered and missed dearly every day.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Wanatah American Legion Post 403, 203 S. Washington Street, Wanatah. A funeral service will begin on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 15496 S. 900 W., Wanatah, with additional visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Wanatah or LaPorte County 4-H Cattle and Swine.

My utmost sincere condolences to Alex, John , Jill and grandkids. I was fortunate that I knew this blessed couple. I went to school with Todd. He was a grade before me and I worked with Tricia for several years at a title company in Valparaiso. I know they left a beautiful legacy and they will be missed but not forgotten.
