Randall R. Kuehl, 78 of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He was born April 29, 1945, in Valparaiso to the late Vernon and Margaret (Dibkey) Kuehl. Randy graduated from Wheeler High School, Class of 1963. He proudly served in the United States Army with the heavy artillery division when he was stationed in Vietnam. He later made his career as a Millwright with Midwest Steel before retirement. Randy enjoyed membership at Gracepoint Church, and had a passion for all sports. He particularly loved cheering for Valparaiso High School and Notre Dame athletics. Randy will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
On August 17, 1968, Randy married the love of his life, Donna Kraft, who survives, along with their daughters: Katherine (Jeff) Wardell of Valparaiso and Kimberly (Chris Morehead) Kuehl of Fishers; granddaughter, Lauren Wardell; brothers: Ronald Kuehl and Roger (Lorene) Kuehl; brother-in-law, Garry Gerdom; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, Godparents, extended family members, and dear friends who were like family. He was preceded in death by brothers: Richard and Russell Kuehl; sisters-in-law: Karen Kuehl and Linda Gerdom; and beloved dog, Abby.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM, Elder Jim Chowning officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Forever we will talk of his passion for Notre Dame, girls basketball, his love for having a granddaughter, LE, and so much more! Our hearts will hold him close and miss him dearly.
