Janet Gail Backe, 72, of Hanna, IN passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. She was born March 14, 1951, in Gary, IN to Charles W. and Marian V. (Cloyd) Brackett and graduated from Merrillville High School. Janet made her career with the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Valparaiso as a Customer Service Representative.
Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, a friend for life, and a caring aunt.
A private family service will be held at Hanna Cemetery.
