Peggy A. Fekete, 68, of Wheatfield passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the VNA Hospice Center. She was born September 19, 1955, to Bob & Phyllis (Schnabel) Erickson and graduated from Merrillville High School in 1974. Peggy’s career included working with classic style printing equipment at Foster Printing, and her favorite job with Sell It Again Sam’s in Demotte where she could utilize her knowledge of antiques and her vibrant personality. Flowers and gardening were also a big part of her life and persona which allowed her to give away floral creations to her heart’s content.
Survivors include her parents, Bob & Phyllis Erickson of Francesville, sister, Patti (Brett) Needham of Kouts, nephew & niece; Chad (Ashley) Needham & Mandy (Ian) Rankin, and great nieces & nephews; Scarlett, Taylor, Austin & Emma. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rob Erickson in 1979 and Bill D. Erickson in 2023.
A visitation will be held Monday, May 6th from 11 – 12 noon at Kosanke Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Kouts with funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon, Pastor Dennis Gutwein officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, LaCrosse. Memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice of NWI or a charity of the donor’s choice.
