Larry Frank Vick, 76 of Kouts, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was born September 25, 1947, in Gary, IN to Howard and Betty (Bakeman) Vick. Larry graduated from Crown Point High School in 1966, before proudly serving in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970, and was stationed in Vietnam for 3 of those years. Upon return, Larry made his career as a Union Carpenter with Local 1005 for over 25 years. He was a member of the Colfax Lodge #378 in Lowell, where he was a Mason and Shriner. Larry enjoyed fishing, golfing, and collecting an array of interesting items, including antiques, decoys, and bear traps. He was a loving and devoted husband, dad, and grandpa, who lived for his family and always put them first. Larry will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
On October 5, 1968, in Lowell, Larry married the love of his life, Cynthia Bruckman, who survives, along with their son, Larry (Julie) Vick of Kouts; and grandsons, Cole and Joe Vick. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Vick; mother, Betty Potts; and brother, Lewis Vick.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Kosanke Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Kouts, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m., Chaplain Ben Polhemus officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Folds of Honor.
