Norma Jean Scheeringa, 68, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. She was born July 21, 1955, in Valparaiso to Roger Glenn & Vera Joyce (Zell) Evans and graduated from Valparaiso High School. Norma loved being a mother and providing a comforting and lively home for her family. Her floral garden and especially the lilac bushes were a particular source of pride. But it was her grandchildren that caused her eyes to sparkle and her face glow.
Survivors include her children; Jeffery Scheeringa of Valparaiso & Kali (Marcus) Moline of Michigan City, siblings: Bob (Sybil) Evans, Ronny (Debbie) Evans, Lori Mark & Billy Evans, and 4 grandchildren: Addison, Gage, Grace & Aiden. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Glen Evans.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory a private family celebration of Norma’s life will be held.
