Carlene E. Schultz, 86 of Chesterton passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024. She was born September 26, 1937 in Michigan City, IN to the late Carl and Lillian (Norris) Malm. Carlene was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she had been very active, and volunteered with Helping Hands in Chesterton. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her exercise class when she was able, was a Chicago Cubs Fan, and loved her Dachshunds.
On June 1, 1957, Carlene married Fredric L. Schultz, Sr., who preceded her in death on August 19, 2023. She is survived by her children, Fredric (Rebecca) Schultz, Jr., David Schultz, Matthew (Laura) Schultz, and Jennifer (Stephen) Jacobs; and grandchildren, Michael, Samuel, Sophia, Alexa, Casimir (Stephanie), and Drew.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church 753 N. Calumet Ave., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Heart to Heart Hospice.
