Queen Elizabeth Mimbs, 73, of Chesterton passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Addison Pointe. She was born October 9, 1950, in Treutlen County Georgia. Elizabeth made her career for over 30 years with J. P. Stevens in Dublin, Georgia processing fabrics for carpet production. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Lake Station. Elizabeth practiced the joy of reading, working puzzles, especially word searches and playing Bingo. Despite a bit of a stubborn streak, that undoubtedly helped her survive as a young single mother, she was loved by her neighbors and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue (Harvey) Hand of Hobart, grandchildren; Conner, Porter & Kristen, and great grandchildren; Bryson, Kasen, Lilleth & Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conner Mimbs, and sister, Shirley Pressley.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory a private family celebration of her life will be held.

Sitting here thinking of what I could possibly say that no one else possibly would say. That can't be though because I know without a doubt she touched everyone that ever crossed her path in the deepest way.
