Nicholas Edward Trinidad, 41, of Muskegon, MI and formerly of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Porter County, IN. Nick began his career as an electrician in the IBEW local 697, and continued his career in the USW local 6787, at Cleveland Cliffs in Burns Harbor, IN. The man loved to learn new skills and solve a puzzle and could often be found helping others find solutions to electrical, car, or construction problems. Caring for his family and those around him was who he was at his core. He loved rock music and rescue animals. He never passed a blood drive he didn't donate to. He was a kind, boisterous, and gregarious man. He was devoted to his family and friends. He is deeply missed. He was survived by his 3 sons, wife, mother, father, and sister.
Myles Andrew Trinidad, 19, of Muskegon, MI, and formerly of LaPorte, IN passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Muskegon, MI. He was a graduate of New Prairie High School in New Carlisle, IN. He worked at Kroger in LaPorte, IN, 7-11 in Rolling Prairie, IN, and Bush Concrete in Muskegon, MI, and was enrolled in a CNC machining and engineering program at Muskegon Community College at the time of his passing. He enjoyed programming, movies, music, and games. Myles was brilliant, reserved, strong willed, and cuttingly funny. He experienced the world differently than most, and his perspective is deeply missed. He is survived by his two younger brothers, mother, and all 4 grandparents. His father, Nicholas Trinidad, preceded him in death November of '23.
An open house style Celebration of Life is planned at Heston Hills Event Center, 1933 E 800 N, La Porte, IN 46350 on Saturday, October 19 from 3-6pm CST for both Nicholas and Myles. Please come as you are and share a story of them. Donations can be made to either your local Humane Society or The Autism Society of America.
