Rosemarie “Dolly” Gallinatti, 93 of Pembroke Pines, FL, formerly of Indiana, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born August 1, 1931, in Gary, IN, to the late Anthony and Helen (Movchan) Scubelek. Dolly made her career as a Registered Nurse for many years. She attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso, IN and St. Edward Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines, FL. She enjoyed splitting her time between Florida and Indiana for the past 40 years. Dolly was a talented baker and seamstress. She looked forward to her nursing reunions, socializing with friends, going out to eat, and enjoying the occasional cocktail. Dolly will be remembered for her strong-willed personality and deep love for her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed.
On August 29, 1953, Dolly married Dr. John Gallinatti, who preceded her in death in 1982. She is survived by their children: Janeen Gallinatti, Anthony (Dawn) Gallinatti, Michael (Laura) Gallinatti, Terese Gallinatti, and Dr. Jon Gallinatti; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jessica, Anthony, Joseph, and Michael; great-grandchildren: Michael, Madison, and Dominic; sister, Eileen Leahey; and sister-in-law, Sister Dr. Frances Jean Gallinatti. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Scubelek; and brother-in-law, Dr. Jerome Leahey.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Prayer Service beginning at 4:00 p.m. A funeral mass will begin on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

We were so saddened to hear of the passing of Aunt Dolly. So many great memories of our families together at Thanksgiving and growing up. Dolly had a feisty personality and a heart of gold.
