Yvonne L. Hogg, 67 of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1956 in East Chicago, Indiana to Edward and Joan (Beenkins) Hogg. Yvonne worked in the deli at Strack & Van Til. A loving sister and aunt, she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and enjoyed cooking, watching cooking shows, and going out to eat. Yvonne was known to have a quiet personality and loved life, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Yvonne is survived by her siblings, Billie (John Jaskiewicz) Elliott, Ivalene Carden, and Lyndon (Judy) Hogg; stepbrothers, Robbie (Amy) Veldhuis and Ricky Veldhuis; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and her cats, Onyx and Cash. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Daniel Hogg; sister, Arlene Williams; and stepmother, Bobbie Hogg.
Visitation and funeral service have been cancelled at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent House in Indianapolis or Hope’s Harbor in Ft. Wayne.

I was saddened to hear of Yvonne’s passing. Deepest condolences to family and friends. Our families spent a lot of time together when I was growing up.
