Mary Ellen Detlef, 95 of Carmel and formerly of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She was born on March 25, 1929 in Valparaiso, IN to Arthur and Dorothy (Smith) Clark and graduated from Valparaiso High School. Mary made her career as a histology technician at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso for 10 + years.
Mary is survived by her children: Vern Detlef, Vicki Hale, and Ginger Williamson.
Mary will privately be laid to rest near her parents at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Wanatah, IN.
