Jeffrey D. Deal, 77, of Westville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, March 28, 2025. He was born November 12, 1947, in Van Wert, Ohio to George & Norma (Kouts) Deal, graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1965 and received his B.A. and master’s degrees in business from Indiana University in Bloomington. Jeff’s career culminated as a Human Resources Consultant serving a plethora of business categories over the course of decades. Golfing and spending time with his grandchildren were always special times for Jeff, but it may have been the daily trips to the local dog park with his beloved “Baxter” that defined his true character.
On June 14, 2008 he married Leann (Cornelius) who survives along with his children: Chris Deal (Andrea) of Boynton Beach, FL, Scott Deal (Angela) of Valparaiso & Kelly Sweeney (Frank) of Indianapolis, step-children: Stacie Savage (Tim) of Burns Harbor, Nicole Moore (Scott) of Dallas, TX & Ethan Bush of Kalamazoo, MI, brother, Don Deal of Florida, and grandchildren: Addison, Caden & Harlow. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Travis & Jon Deal.
A memorial celebration of Jeff’s life will be announced at a later date.
