A very sweet lady. Periodically we would take lunch at the same time and she loved to talk sports. Both of us from the Midwest we had common interests. Theresa will be missed. May God bless her and watch over her. R I P Theresa. -Betty Gruba

Heartfelt condolences to Theresa’s family on her passing. We were cousins, but never met. We somehow met on the Internet some years ago over Theresa’s compilation of the Mercaldo family history. She was a descendent of Dominico, brother of Luigi, my paternal grandfather. Theresa was so helpful in filling in information on the family. I wish we could have met. She seemed like a very nice person. I’m saddened that she has left at such a young age. May God keep dear Theresa close. -Dorothy (Dori) Mercaldo McCrane

I worked with Theresa at Kohl's (Valpo). I was just hired on for seasonal at that time, and she is the one who trained me. I appreciated her as a coworker and friend. Sending my thoughts and prayers to the family during this time. -Jess

Theresa was a kind and gentle soul. She loved her family. She was so proud of each and every one of her nieces and nephews. She would update me on each one of them with pride in her voice, or laughter if they did something bad. Theresa's had a great laugh - that’s one thing that I will miss. She spent so much time getting old family pictures online so that the family could have access to them. I cherish the pictures and videos that she shared. May she rest in peace. I will think of her often and miss her so much. -Peggy Anderson
