Mary Ann Stuteville, a vibrant soul who touched many lives, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Michigan City, Indiana on September 24, 1946, she was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Marie (Ludington) Warner.

Mary was a woman of diverse talents, starting her career in the world of accounting before taking on roles as a forklift operator and machine maintainer at Kaiser Aluminum. Beyond her work life, she possessed a remarkable artistic flair, particularly in oil painting. Her generous spirit shone through her love of sharing her creations with those around her.
Family and friends held a special place in Mary's heart. She was known for her immense generosity and her joy in hosting large gatherings where everyone was welcomed as family. These cherished moments of togetherness will undoubtedly be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

On January 7, 1989, Mary wed her forever love Vance Stuteville, who survives her. Their blended family includes her children, Tom (Sonya) Shepard, Bill (John) Shinabarger, Aaron Warner, Thad Stuteville, and Todd (Noelle) Stuteville, along with a large and loving extended family of 13 grandchildren: Christopher, Cassandra, Corinn, Caroline, Camrin, Cayla, Grace, Jackson, Nicole, Abby, Aiden, Meghan, and Isaac.  She also was the great-grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Larry Warner, Rocky, Norma, Eleanor, and Grace Akins.

A time to celebrate Mary's life and the impact she had will be held during a Memorial Visitation on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, located at 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Afterward, her earthly remains will be laid to rest at Ludington Cemetery. In remembrance of Mary's generous nature, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fried's Cat Shelter or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Her warmth, artistic spirit, and boundless love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

To All of Mary Ann’s Family, My reflections travel back to 1961 when my family moved from Pennsylvania as my Dad began work at the newly built Midwest Steel plant along Lake Michigan. She welcomed me with a big smile as I stepped on to the bus for our first day as freshman at Valpo High. That smile continued throughout our time as students. Our life after high school took different directions, but her cousin Al Ludington was a childhood friend of my future husband John and was a groomsman for our wedding. What a gift to reconnect with Mary Ann at some Ludington July 4th Celebrations in Kouts. Al’s fireworks display included special times of celebration and remembrance of our loved ones. May you all celebrate as you remember her many smiles and precious gifts. Her Cousin Al welcomed her to Heavenly Peace! Lovingly, -Jane (Weissert) Pinkerton

Frol schultz racing, we are sorry for your loss thoughts and prayers for the whole family. -Michael Schultz

Thinking of the family at this time. I am part of the Sunday School class at Brentwood Baptist and recognize the quality son she raised with Tom Shepherd. He is making a difference in many lives. -Brad and Tonya Lance
