Mindy and Jeff I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I had the opportunity to meet your wonderful son. He does have an amazing smile. Although I never met him I will always remember him and the loving parents you both are. -Seth Ghantous
We never met, Charlie, but I watched you grow up over the years and followed your many adventures on Facebook. Seeing the bond you had with your loving dogs was one of my favorite things to see, so in your honor I’ve made a donation to Lakeshore Paws. Your pups now have the tough job of looking after your parents and making sure they’re okay - but based on how they looked after you, I think your mom and dad are in good paws. -Missy Stanisz
We will forever miss your smiling face and your sweet soul. You brought so much happiness and joy to everyone around you. You showed incredible courage throughout the adversity you faced as your condition progressed. Jeff and Mindy...our hearts break with yours at this time. Be consoled in knowing it is Charlie who will carry both of you now. His sweet soul surrounds you. Love, Chuck and Betty Milan

We remember sweet Charlie when he and his family lived at the Villas at Vale Park. We remember him in his wheelchair walking his dog and when he came to our door in his Cub Scout uniform. Though we did not know Charlie and his family well, we knew he was loved beyond measure. Our hearts are broken with this sad news. -Jerry and Emilie Scott
Charlie was my friend and we shared some laughs. He was patient and very kind hearted. He was very good at math and reading. I will miss him. And I will pray for his family. -Rohan Perry
Charlie, I’d like to say “Thank you”. Thank you for all you have taught me. Your kindness, courage, determination, endless love out pouring and acceptance of all. You inspired me to be better. I think you made everyone you met better. You touched so many, not just family and friends, but those you encountered just once. You showed us how powerful a family unit can be when they work and play together. For years I prayed to God for a miracle. I thought, who deserves a miracle more than loving Charlie? But I now realize, you were and continue to be the miracle. You were sent to us as a gift from God to make us look at life from a different perspective. To help us realize what is truly important. May your legacy continue to touch us throughout our lives. You will live in us forever. -Aunt Lynn Schilder
