Franklin Darrell Crider, Sr., 85 of Kouts, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025.  He was born on January 4, 1940 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Wilson and Josephine (Hamlin) Crider.  Frank was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1962-1967 as an Airman 1st Class.  He made his career of over 35 years with U.S. Steel, where he worked in various capacities.  Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 301 of Kouts and was an avid golfer.  He loved spending time with family; cherishing time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On July 12, 1965, Frank married his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Potts) Crider, who preceded him in death on August 7, 2017.  He is survived by his son, F. Darrell (Kristle) Crider, Jr.; grandchildren, Danny (Megan), Jesse, and Josie Crider; and great grandchildren, Bryndolyn, Clayton, Charlie, and Jack Crider.  Frank was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Denise Crider and siblings, Yvonne, Naomi, Doris, and Glenn.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Graceland Cemetery in Kouts.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Legion Post 301 of Kouts.
