Judy K. Schlundt, 83, of Union Mills, IN passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born January 20, 1942, in LaPorte to Ira & Bertha (Loose) Russell and graduated from LaPorte High School in 1960. Judy made her career with the Whirlpool Corporation in LaPorte as a secretary for over 20 years. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Union Mills. Her carefully crafted stained glass and ceramics creations were cherished by the many fortunate recipients.
On August 26, 1961 she married Robert “Bob” Schlundt who survives along with nieces & nephews: Jeanne (Ed) Smith, Ray (Sandy) Huhnke, Dave (Diane) Huhnke, Toni (Rich) Andrews and sister-in-law, Ellen Huhnke. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert & Jim Russell.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, from 3 – 6 pm at Wanatah Funeral Chapel, 309 N. Main St. Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church.

It is so hard to know my friend has passed. We had many great memories with Judy and Bob, also great trips with the Whirlpool girls group. She was a very special person, kind and caring. She will be sadly missed, until we meet again my friend. -Sharon Green
BOB Sorry to hear of the passing of Judy. She passed the day of Bill's funeral. Hopefully you feel as I do, thank god, no more suffering.
