Laura Del Riley, 62 of Morocco, IN, formerly of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025. She was born March 4, 1963, in Gary, IN to Dallas Brown and Carol (Anderson) Minich. Laura proudly worked as a Machine Operator with Con Agra Foods in Rensselaer for many years, it was a career she truly loved. Later she became a full-time caregiver for her beloved son, Patrick, after a traumatic brain injury left him unable to care for himself. Laura always put God and family first in her life. She had an unwavering faith in the Lord and carried His love with her always. Laura was a loving and devoted wife and mother who looked forward to spending time with her kids and sharing meals and snacks together as a family. Her thoughtful and selfless nature and generous and caring spirit will be remembered as her legacy. Laura will be dearly missed by those who were lucky enough to know her.

On March 27, 1986, in Houston, TX, Laura married the love of her life, Mark Wayne Riley, who preceded her in death in 2023. She is survived by their daughter, Rachel (Alex) Cain of Kouts; a granddaughter, Lyric, who is due in March; her mother, Carol Minich; sister, Becky (Keith) Dortch; niece, Jessica Dortch; and great niece, Morgan Dortch. She was preceded in death by her father, Dallas Brown; son, Patrick Riley; and siblings: Debbie Smith and Kenny Brown.

A celebration of Laura’s life will be announced at a later date.
