Leanne Kay Hamrick, 68 of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1957 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Bobby and Elizabeth (Tudor) Daniel. Leanne found enjoyment in the outdoors through fishing, camping, gardening, and taking in as much sun as she could. She was a Bears fan and loved listening to music, especially by James Taylor. Most will remember Leanne for having a good sense of humor, a huge heart, and she was always there for family and friends when they needed a helping hand or shoulder to lean on.
Leanne is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Daniel; children, Rachael (Chris) Collins, Danny (Caitlin) Hamrick, and Cali (Dustin) Widup; grandchildren, Nolan, Graham, Lyla, Spencer, Evelyn, and Landyn; siblings, Cinda (Jim Shinn) Daniel, Robert Daniel, and Lori (Troy) Pikula; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with a Memorial Service beginning at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Guitars Over Guns.
