Glen A. White, Sr., 64, of Washington Township passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026. He was born July 3, 1961, in Valparaiso to Seth C. & Emma (Sherrick) White, Sr., and graduated from Boone Grove High School in 1980. Glen made his career as a machinist with Aero Metals in LaPorte for 17 years. His passion was serving as a Firefighter with Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department for nearly 40 years from which he recently retired. Glen was a devoted fan of truck and tractor pulls having served as a flagger for these events in the region for decades. He made friends everywhere he went mostly by virtue of his gift of conversation.
On January 24, 1981, he married Pauline Cairns who survives along with their children: Sarah Gallagher (Josh) of Wheatfield, Glen White, Jr. (Kacie Corley) of Valparaiso & Adam White (Jackie) of Valparaiso, siblings: Cecil White of Valparaiso, Kevin White (Lori) of Portage, Donna Schatz (Dan) of Tennessee, Marilyn Hanner (Jim) of Florida & Pam Liebsch of Florida, and grandchildren: Carson, Lennox, Zooey, Sawyer, Ellie & Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Rev. Darlene White & Mary Kirk, and brother, Seth White, Jr.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 27th from 3 – 7 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with an Indiana Volunteer Firemen’s Association ceremony beginning at 6:00 pm and funeral service beginning at 7:00 pm. A burial service will be held Wednesday, January 28th beginning at 11:30 am directly at Angelcrest Cemetery, 180 E. 600 N., Valparaiso.
