John F. Grass, 70 of Wanatah, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026. He was born on November 21, 1955 in Valparaiso, the son of the late Richard and Marjorie (O’Connor) Grass. A graduate of Washington Twp. High School, John began his career in construction and then retired from UPS as a delivery driver. His family was his passion in life, especially his grandsons. He loved attending all of their events and spending time with them.
On March 21, 1974, he married the love of his life Glenda K. Osburn who preceded him in death in 2007. He is survived by his children, Shane (Tracey) Grass and Amber (Brian) Barnes; grandsons, Gavin, Brayden, Colton, and Brody; siblings, Pat Evans, Carol (Dennis) Misch, Diane (Mark) Matthys, and Phil Grass; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso.
