Joanne M. Dahlin, 89 of Crown Point, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026. She was born on October 8, 1936 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, daughter of George L. and Ruth E. (Arnborg) Moss, Sr. Joanne grew up on the south side of Chicago. She graduated from Calumet High School and attended Augustana College for a year before starting as a secretary at Standard Oil. Joanne worked there until she had children and then started working as a teacher’s aide. She was a member of the Lady Lions Club in Thorton, IL, the Red Hat Society, Garden Club of the Lakes of Four Seasons, and Keenagers. Joanne enjoyed playing cards with friends and spending time with family.
Joanne is survived by her children, Sheri (Jeff) Webb, Ken Dahlin, and Michael Dahlin; grandchildren, Dana (Justin Thompson) Webb, Bryan (Abbey) Webb, Kara (Kevin) Nuppnau, and Aaron and Ian Dahlin; and great grandchildren, Maddie and Mel Thompson, Will and Nate Webb, and Jack Nuppnau. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth; former husband, Warren Dahlin, Jr., daughter-in-law, Dody Dahlin, and brother, George L. Moss, Jr.
Private family services were held with burial at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso. In lieu flowers, memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
