John Wesley Castle, 56 of DeMotte, passed away suddenly on February 11, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1969 in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Burnis and Marie (Patrick) Castle. John was a 1987 graduate of Lowell High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana University Northwest. He was currently working as a lab technician at Eckart American and has been with the company for over 20 years. John was an avid reader, loved animals and science, and enjoyed gaming. He will be remembered and missed for his quiet and kind personality.
John is survived by his parents, Burnis and Marie Castle; brother, Brian (Noreen) Castle; nieces and nephew, Nick, Allison, and Brianna; and great nieces and nephew, Lilly, Flint, Maycee, and Annie.
Cremation will take place at Angelcrest Crematory with a private burial of ashes.

We are so sorry for your loss of John. He was a very nice and quiet man. When my cat went missing and I gave him a flyer he said he would watch if my little guy came by. He was so caring.
