Cody Austin Hansen, 32 of Wanatah, formerly of Boone Grove passed away Friday, February 27, 2026. He was born July 30, 1993, in Munster, Indiana and attended Boone Grove Schools. Cody particularly enjoyed fishing, climbing anything that he found intriguing, spending time with his family, and always helping others.
Survivors include his wife, Samantha (Risk) Hansen, son, Owen Hansen, daughter, Maeve Hansen, his mothers: Laurie Hansen & Sharon Hansen, brother, Justin (Blake) Hansen, sisters: Megan (Billy) Vann & Jennifer Krejci, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews & friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Hansen
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory the family will announce a celebration of Cody’s life to be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the family for the benefit of Cody’s children.
