Brooklynn Elaine Pomeroy, 29, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, following a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born March 29, 1996, in Valparaiso, to Thomas Pomeroy and Deborah (Jepson) Sandoval. Brook graduated from Chesterton High School in 2014. She enjoyed spending time outdoors riding dirt bikes, fishing, and camping. Brook also looked forward to going to concerts and music festivals. She loved dancing with her daughter, Aurora, taking her to the beach, and going to the park together. Brook was a loving and devoted mother who always put her daughter first. Brook will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on and be cherished forever.

Brooklynn is survived by her 6-year-old daughter, Aurora Conklin; boyfriend, Shawn Conklin; mother and stepfather, Deborah and Tracy Sandoval; step-sister, Emily Sandoval; grandmothers, Sharon Jepson, and Linda Pomeroy; grandfather, Walter Sandoval; aunts and uncles: Dawn (George) Bugarin, Amy Koch, Bob Pomeroy, Walter (Glenda) Sandoval, and Dustin (Jennifer) Sandoval; great-aunt, Charleyne Husmann; cousins: Morgan Niloff, Matteo Niloff, Nikki Pomeroy, Alex Pomeroy, Daniel Koch, Gabby Sandoval, Jilly Sandoval, Will Sandoval, Dustin Sandoval Jr., Sarah Sandoval, Ashley Sandoval, and Andrew Sandoval; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Pomeroy; grandfathers, Tony Jepson, and George Pomeroy; and aunt, Donna Pomeroy.

A visitation and meal will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Hawthorne Park, 500 Ackerman Drive, Porter, IN, with a celebration of life ceremony beginning at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family for the care of Aurora.
