Donald C. Miller passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 4, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents Arch and Laura (Hillen) Miller, wife Deanna (Wood) Miller and son Brian James Miller.
Don graduated from Weir High School in Weirton, West Virginia and attended WVU. He graduated from Bethany College in Bethany WV. In 1962, Don joined the Army Reserves serving a 6-year enlistment with 6 months active duty. He then developed a successful career at National Steel, as a metallurgist. In his 40-year tenure, Don was known for his dedication, initiative and decisiveness.
Following his retirement, Don spent much of his time with family, tinkering with trains, tractors and mowing. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed cheering them on throughout the highs and lows of each season.
Don was an active Christ following man, who served as a deacon, trustee and on the church council. Those closest to him knew him to be gracious, compassionate and loyal. On June 10, 1989, he married Joyce Tudor Miller. Don and Joyce have had a wonderful life together, with much love and laughter and occasional annoyances to keep life interesting.
He will be missed immeasurably by his wife Joyce Tudor Miller, sister June (Sam) Spotto, daughter Melissa (Damon) Connell, grandchildren: Samantha (Will) Ryder, Grant Donovan (Alyssa) Schoeck, stepchildren: Jan Tudor, Pat (John) Wong, Sharon Tudor, and James (Jo) Tudor, grandchildren: Brian (Stephanie) Stump, Aaron (Lauren) Stump, Danielle (Ernie) Hasselbring, Justin (Jordan) Landgrebe, Jenna (Brice) Wong, Lauren Wong, 14 great grandchildren and many friends.
Visitation will be held at Salem Church, 302 S. Main St., Wanatah, IN 46390, on Tuesday, March 10th from 3:00-6:00 PM, with a church service to follow the visitation at 6:00 PM.
Memorials may be made to Salem Church Sunday School or to the charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers.

Dearest Joycie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Donnie at National Steel for years. He was a man witDelh much integrity and love of family. I so enjoyed our birthday phone calls these past few years (will miss our March 14th call), where we tried to bring each other up to date on the happenings in our lives the past year. Joyce & Family, Please accept our Condolences on the Loss of Cousin Don. My Dad, Jim Drylie was raised with Aunt Laura by Jemima & Bill Hillen. We didn't spend much time together , but when we needed anything, we were there for each other.
