To the Pittman Family, It saddens me to have learned of Del’s passing. I was his strength coach at EIU for part of his time at EIU. He was funny and a good guy. I remember the day he got his letterman jacket. He came into the weight room wearing the jacket, a ball cap, sunglasses and batting gloves. He admired himself in the mirror for a time and then turned to me and said Coach when you play like a stud you gotta dress like a stud! He then smiled and walked out! He worked hard and always pushed his o line guys to push themselves in the weight room! My prayers and sympathy to his family! God Bless and may he rest in peace, -Kevin Wold

Rest easy Coach. Thank you for all of the guidance. -Dylen Sharp

I will always remember baby sitting for you and your brother Fred, when you were small and I was a young teenager. I love the old memories; they are the best! Rest in Peace in the Loving Arms of our Lord. -Kathie Anderson
