Jack T. Curley, 93, of Keller, Texas formerly of Morgan Township passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born July 13, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to John P. & Marie (McCracken) Curley, graduated from Horace Mann High School and served proudly with the U.S. Army in Germany following WWII. Jack made his career in the Safety Department of U.S. Steel Garyworks for many years retiring in 1984. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah and had formerly been a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Merrillville. Although family was always Jack’s utmost concern and joy, pride in his Irish heritage was evident without apology. And it may be from that long line of emerald ancestors that he was graced with a wonderful sense of humor that not only allowed him to cope with the world, but let him help others find laughter in the world around them.
On June 1, 1957 he married Olga J. Rajkovich who preceded him in death on March 21, 2003. Survivors include their daughters; Jane (Eric) Smith of Keller, Texas & Katherine (Garry) Beauregard of Longview, Washington, five grandchildren; Garrett, Austin & Kaitlin Beauregard, and Ellie & Ryan Smith, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his three younger sisters: Mary Bennett, Patricia Curley & Joanne Deckman.
