Norah Diana Salt, 85 of Hebron, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. She was born in Buxton, Derbyshire, England on November 23, 1936 to Edward and Miriam (Kermin) Percival. Norah began her career as a secretary and later became a Travel Agent. When her husband’s career took them to the United States, Norah thrived in her volunteer work at Porter Memorial Hospital. Norah’s true joy came from spending time with her beloved husband, whom she met at the age of 15, Rayson. Whether it be spending an evening out on the town or traveling the world together, there was no one she enjoyed being with more. Norah was a brilliant woman, with a determined spirit and easy-going personality. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
On May 23, 1958, in England, Norah married the love of her life, Rayson Salt, who survives, along with their sons: Geoffrey (Catherine) Salt of England and Paul (Sally) Salt of Illinois; grandchildren: Tabitha (Brian) Chrysler, Maximilian Salt, Alice Salt, Harry (Jessica) Salt, and Ella (Andrew Onyemere) Munns; and great-grandchildren: Jack Salt, Ruby Onyemere, and Sophie Onyemere. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, IN, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso, IN, 46383.
