Paul Edward Pasley, 72 of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at home, from Stage 3 lung cancer. He was born on April 8, 1950, to Paul and Thelma (Reynolds) Pasley. Ed graduated from Valparaiso High School, and made his career as a Union Millwright with Local 1043, before retirement.
Paul “Edder” Pasley was a biker, member of the Unknown Motorcycle Club, a retired Union Millwright, President of the Eagles Aerie #2517 in Valparaiso, President of Zone 1 for the Eagles, and was instrumental in starting the Eagles Riders of Aerie #2517. He worked hard for the Veterans and arranged to have the Eagles room for them to have their meetings. He gave generously for all causes that he was involved in. Ed was a character his entire life. He had countless friends from all parts of the country. Ed will be remembered for his good heart, brain full of mischief, and awesome sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.
On May 19, 2002, Ed married the love of his life, Kathleen Wesbecher, who survives, along with his children: Dylan Pasley, Rachel Pasley, and Hannah Peters; granddaughters: Destiny Ronco and Cheyenne Ronco; and great-grandchildren: Alice, Aiella, and Kaje. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Darlene Pasley; and brothers: John, Eugene, James, Larry, and Donald Kelley.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Kouts. A celebration at The Eagles in Valparaiso will follow the burial. Memorial donations may be made in Ed’s name to the Disabled American Veterans.

Paul, I never met you before, although becoming friends with your son Dylan it shows that your spirit of yourself shines through your son with the same radiance you have shown others. Your son was the one who actually got me into Harleys and gave me inspiration to ride again all while helping me with all my ridiculous questions. My heartfelt sympathy to Ed’s wife and family. I knew Ed through the Eagle Riders. As a fairly new Eagle Rider and Vice President of the State Eagle Riders, I enjoyed talking to him and appreciated hearing his thoughts on what direction he felt we should be going. In 1957 I met Edder in 2nd grade at Flint Lake elementary school. We became friends almost immediately. From grade school to high school we lived at each others houses and did what kids did and tried not to get caught ,we we mostly successful. We rode Harleys together, and became members of The Unknown Motorcycle Club. We were each others best man at our weddings. We were there for each other when our parents died. We celebrated the birth of our children. He was my best freind. He was my brother . I will miss him forever. -Jim(Stuby) Holsman
I met Edder at Mud Creek in ‘07 and I considered him a friend ever since. He made me feel welcomed and we would chat it up around the camp fire. I remember the day I had to splint his broken leg with an MGD box because that’s all that was available. Hospital ER staff said that was a first! Anyway, I will remember Edder for his good character and friendliness. He was one of the crew I’d look for right away when we’d get to MC. R. I. P. Brother!
