Angela Marie “Angie” Hayes, 58 of LaCrosse, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was born on October 25, 1964 in Valparaiso to William and Jill (Martin) Smith. She graduated from Morgan Township High School and made her career as an inspector for McGill Manufacturing for 13 years. She enjoyed tending to her flowers in the garden, coloring, playing Yahtzee, and spoiling her Chihuahuas. Angie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
On September 1, 2007, Angie married Richard Hayes who survives, along with her children: Candace (Jason) Lord, Crystal Bucher, and Tyler Schultz; parents: William and Jill; siblings: Todd (Rita) Smith and Leah Lincoln; grandchildren: Nolan, Alannah, Hailey, Makenna, and Logan; and beloved dogs: Max, Sophie, and Arnold. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Ellamae Smith.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Kosanke Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Kouts, IN, (New Location) from 10:00 AM – noon, with a service starting at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Angela at First Trust Credit Union in Valparaiso in the care of Richard Hayes.
