Judith “Judy” M. Tyma, 86 of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Wednesday, September 18 2024. She was born on December 27, 1937 in Hammond, IN to the late Marcel and Julia (Kubisz) Tyma. A Clark High School graduate, she made her career as a secretary in Chicago and as a child care specialist at Carmelite Home for Boys in Hammond for over 15 years. She was a gifted pianist and was an avid reader and television watcher. You could best describe Judy as fun, especially when it came to the annual Christmas parties! Her caring heart and bright smile will be remembered fondly by all who were blessed to know her.
Judy is survived by her cousins: Arlene (Gary) Gasper of Valparaiso, Jim (Patti) Flis and Frank Flis, both of Michigan; dearest friend, Nancy Moore of Valparaiso; and other extended family and friends.
A private service and burial to take place at Angelcrest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor’s choice in Judy’s honor.

Judy was my next door neighbor for many years she was the kindest sweetest person you could ever meet. We would have our glass of wine every Friday at her house and just talked and enjoyed each other's company, my entire family loved her so much and we would keep in touch even after she moved to Valparaiso I'm going to miss not talking to her. -Mary Jenks
