Alyssa Renee Ramey, 26 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away alongside her beloved Australian Shepherd, Callie, on Monday, April 29, 2024, as a result of a car accident. She was born December 30, 1997, in Springfield, MO, to Aaron and Kimberly (Miller) Ramey. Alyssa graduated from Chesterton High School in 2016 and followed her passion for animals to become a Kennel Assistant at Stoney Run Canine Camp in Hebron, and to own and operate her pet supply business, Pawsibly Pampered.
Alyssa was passionate about her work and her company, Pawsibly Pampered, as well as her family and friends. She was amazing with all animals, especially dogs. She could be considered a “dog whisperer” because she had the ability to understand and comfort each and every dog she cared for. Alyssa was incredibly talented with her vision of her company. Her collars, harnesses, scarfs, and dog seat belts have been sold across the nation and brought joy and happiness to dog owners everywhere. Her sidekick and love of her life was Callie, her Australian Shepherd, who was with her until the end and has joined her in our Lord’s great kingdom. Alyssa was an amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter. She brought so much happiness to the lives of everyone she encountered. Her ability to light up a room made her even more beautiful than she already was. Alyssa was compassionate and straightforward to a fault. She held nothing back and always spoke straight from the heart. Alyssa definitely left her mark on the world and on everyone who knew her. She was loved by so many, and will be sadly missed, but never forgotten, and will remain in our hearts forever. Selfish as we are, we understand our Lord had plans for Alyssa that were more important than ours. We take comfort that she is with her girl, Callie, and all her loved ones that are already in His kingdom.
Alyssa is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kimberly & Glen Stanley of Valparaiso, IN; father and stepmother, Aaron and Sara Ramey of Bokeelia, FL; siblings: Aliyah, Clayton, Olivia, and Izzy; stepsiblings: Dane, Riley, and Natalie; and many loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Rich Valentine, and her granny, Sherryl Ramey.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, IN, with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 p.m., Pastor Denny Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lakeshore Paws.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Although I only started working at Stoney Run in November I was able to share quite a few shifts with Alyssa, I really enjoyed her company. She is very optimistic and easy to be around, she didn't deserve to go so early. Her warm personality still shines through in our memories of her. Sending prayers your way. -Katja Broberg

I remember the days when we grew up together. My brother and I used to play on your swing set all the time, and often Alyssa would come out and push us while we had swing set battles. Alyssa was another big sister to me growing up, and I treated her as such. I have been - and will continue to - pray for ever more grace to fall over your family. I always kept a special place in my heart for your family, and it will remain until I leave this earth. With much love and prayer. -Darren Corzan

You dated my son before either of you had a driver’s license, this was the opportunity for me to get to know you because Steve and I were the drivers.   I fell in love with you!  You were so respectful, appreciative, loving and funny.  We remained friends keeping in touch having lunch together, many fun photo sessions, we toured Ivy Tech together, you even assisted me with a Mentoring Program.  I watched you grow up on social media.  I was so happy and proud of the woman you had become.  I followed the growth of your business and I loved to watch your amazing funny posts.  My heart seriously smiled seeing you on those social media platforms.  I felt like I had a front seat window to your life.  I weep at the thought of not seeing you again.  You were such a ray of sunlight in this world.  Thank you for letting me love you. With Deepest Condolences to the family - Steve & Elissa Renee Valdez (Lisa) we used to laugh how our names were similar.

I never got the chance to meet Alyssa personally, but her stepsister Natalee always told me great things about her. I’m so sorry for your loss. Alyssa will be greatly missed. Sending hugs and prayers. -Jose Iris

Even though I’ve never meet Alyssa personally, my husband knew her from taking our dog Ollie to Stoney Run. Ollie and Alyssa had a special relationship since Ollie loves to get the lead off her and drag her around, try to take her shoes off her feet while she was walking, and in the winter, he would steal her gloves from her hands and run around so happy because she would chase him!
It’s very upsetting that a sweet soul was taken from us all. May be you be at peace knowing that at least she and Callie are together forever now. Bless you and your family. -Kate Hatagan
