Anne Maxedon-Jeffries, 75, of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born December 8, 1949, in Niles Michigan to Maurice & Kathleen (Kuebli) Maxedon, graduated from Niles High School and received an associate’s degree from San Jose City College. Anne began her career in the computer industry of Silicon Valley doing layout work for technical publications, concluding with the Applied Materials company. Through this initial work she recognized her natural talents suited her for the library, and she became a Library Tech for Stanford University, which she loved. It should go without saying that Anne enjoyed reading, which seemed to go along well with her private and stoic nature. Preferring to keep to herself ended when it came to the many cats that she nurtured in her home over the years, especially with the regular night-time treats that were awarded judiciously and individually every night. The thought of her favorite feline, “Bingo”, would still bring a smile to her face.
In October of 1989 she married Stephen Jeffries who survives along with their sons: Christopher Jeffries of Indianapolis & Ethan Jeffries of Valparaiso, her siblings: Janet (Montri) Boonprasarn of Michigan City, Jon (Kerry) Maxedon of California & Beverly Darling of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory a private family celebration of Anne’s life be held.
