Annette Justus, 75, of Valparaiso, Indiana, formerly of Crawfordsville, peacefully passed away at her home on August 8, 2025. Born on March 13, 1950, to Forrest and Mary (Sorrels) Zachary, she was a Crawfordsville High School graduate and dedicated many years to her career at Pace Dairy, advancing from forklift operator to Inventory Analyst. Annette possessed a remarkable talent for horticulture, nurturing a diverse array of plants with ease. She was in the process of transforming her yard into a vibrant oasis, reflecting her passion and dedication to gardening.

Her favorite happy places were definitely in the garden, surrounded by colorful flowers. She loved spending time with her family, whether they were camping, fishing, or just relaxing quietly with a cup of coffee on the porch. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest joy in life. She also cherished the company of her two newest dogs, Charlie and Oliver, who always made her smile. These simple moments filled her heart with happiness and warmth every day.

Survivors include her children: Dannette (Scott) Bouchee of Valparaiso & Dean (Michelle) Justus of New Market, IN, siblings: Mark (Rhonda) Zachary of Ladoga, IN & Laura (Phil) Dossett of Crawfordsville,  & sister-in-law, Priscilla Zachary of Crawfordsville, grandchildren: McKenna, Brayden, Cameron, Kylie (Seth), Chase, Taylor (Keith), Jacob (Diamond) & Dane, and great-grandchildren: Beau & Lincoln. Along with numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by former husband, Danny Justus, sister, Sharon Posthauer, brothers: David & James Zachary and loving stepfather Everett (Bill) Gowin. 

A private family committal ceremony will be held at Indian Creek Cemetery in New Market, Indiana in the near future.
