Arleen A. Rohweder, 88 of Michigan City, formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023. She was born April 5, 1935, in Arlington Heights, IL to the late Arnold and Pauline (Schaefer) Krause. Arleen graduated from Maine Township High School in 1953 and made her career as a Beautician. She was a faithful Christian, who spread the word of the Lord everywhere she went. Arleen loved being with her family and enjoyed playing board games. She will be remembered for her wonderful imagination, friendly personality, and compassionate heart. Arleen will be dearly missed.
Arleen is survived by her children: Kimberley (Bob) Sipress of Stevensville, MI, Kevin (Tammy) Crosbie of Paragould, AR, and Kristy (Craig) Hager of Michigan City, IN; stepsons: Bob (Sue) Rohweder and Damon (Linda) Sundin; grandchildren: Neil (Lindsay), Kyle (Kristin), Jacob, and Keith; sister, Nancy (Rod) Brewer; and triplet brothers: Tom (Jodi) Krause, Dick (Karen) Krause, and Harry Krause. She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph Sundin, to whom she was married from 1995-2003, husband, Rolf Rohweder, to whom she was married from 2012-2019, and brother, Arnold Krause.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 22. 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to New Creation Vineyard Church, and in the memo line write “Eternal Anchor Night to Shine.”

I was saddened to learn of Arleen's passing; may she rest in peace. I met Arleen one time, at my father's funeral in 2003. She was very warm and welcoming. My father was fortunate to have been able to spend his golden years with her. -Nore Sundin
