Arnold L. Rosenbaum, 91 of LaCrosse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at home surrounded by family. He was born on May 25, 1932 in Wanatah, IN to the late Arthur and Kathryn (Parthun) Rosenbaum and was a graduate from Wanatah High School. Arnold was a proud, hardworking and life-long farmer, even going out in the field with the combine this past month. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wanatah.
Arnold was a loving husband, son, brother, dad, grandpa, great papa, and friend. He loved going for drives with his beloved wife to see the sandhill cranes and enjoy nature and make their rounds between their three children's houses. He was also an avid backyard bird enthusiast and loved watching them out the picture window at the feeders. There wasn’t much he enjoyed more than enthusiastically supporting his grandkids in various sports and 4-H events with his infectious smile, signature thumbs up, and fist bump. He was a dedicated fan of Purdue and the Chicago White Sox. Arnold was one of a kind and will live on in the memories of all those fortunate enough to have known him.
On August 18, 1962, Arnold married Nancy Lee Tofte, who preceded him in death on October 5, 2022. He is survived by their children: Michelle (Joseph) Dyjak, Renee (Joseph) Rudolph, and Todd (Tricia) Rosenbaum; grandchildren: Jason (Steph Vance) Dyjak, Justin Dyjak, Jennifer (Brett) Huhnke, Jared (Kelsey Younce) Dyjak, Melissa and Katelyn Rudolph, Alexandria Bucher, Jillian (Seth) Garrison, Jonathan (Lauren Bobinski) Rosenbaum; great-grandchildren: Katie and Samantha Vance, Drake and Dax Huhnke, Laken Blasko, Bane Bucher, and Adilynn and Ireland Garrison; siblings: William (Gerry) Rosenbaum and Mary Jane Bailey; sister-in-law, Linda Tofte; brother-in-law, LeRoy “Doc” Koselke; special caregivers: Verna, Julia “Wilma”, and Patti; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
