Barbara Elaine Rado, 73 of Hebron, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026.  She was born on November 15, 1952 in Valparaiso to the late, Arthur and Barbara (Carlberg) Williams.  A 1971 graduate of Boone Grove High School, Elaine worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart retiring in 2013.  She was a longtime member of the Salem First United Methodist Church in Hebron, sang with the Sweet Adelines, and enjoyed all the friendships made while involved with Porter County Rural Youth.

On November 2, 1991, Elaine married John V. Rado who preceded her in death on January 20, 2026.  She is survived by her son, Bryan (Marlaina) Rado, and brother, Rodney Williams.  Elaine was also preceded in death by her siblings, Caroline, Keith, David, and Johanna.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM.  Cremation will follow and a private burial of ashes will take place at Salem Cemetery in Hebron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, Hebron.

I was so sorry to hear of Elaine's passing. Many years ago, I had the priveledge of singing with her for a few years in Sweet Adelines in Valparaiso, IN. I really enjoyed that time and her sweet friendship. My condolences to Elaine's family and friends for your loss. My hugs and prayers for you at this time. I am so sorry to hear of Elaines passing. She and I met via a joint Easter Canta where the Choir from Salem UMC sang with the Hebron UMC where I am a member. She is the only other "Barbara Elaine" I have ever met. I would periodically see her at joint Easter Services. RIP "Barbara Elaine".......I will miss you next Easter!!!! -Barb Steffel
