Barbara T. Boris (nee Tellugen), 76, of Beverly Shores passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was born February 17, 1949, in Trondheim, Norway to the late Claus & Birgit (Larsen) Tellugen.
On June 15, 1973, she married the love of her life, Terence Boris, who preceded her in death in 2009. Survivors include their daughters: Britt (Paul) LaBerge of Porter, Indiana and Kirsten (Hunter) White of Brightwood, Oregon, granddaughter, Lily LaBerge, cousins Kirsten and Bjarne Arnesen of Kopervik, Norway and Tordis Ree of Stavanger, Norway, and many loving friends.
Barbara was a graduate of Elston High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a master’s degree from Boston University. She was an English teacher at Elston High School before having her daughters, when she became a homemaker. Barbara loved nature and the beach of Beverly Shores, where she lived for over 60 years. She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe visiting and spending time with family and friends. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, avid gardener, and lifelong animal lover.
A private family celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Michiana Humane Society.
