Benjamin Edward Gorseski, 16 of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born September 4, 2006, in Valparaiso, to Riste and Kimberley (Evans) Gorseski. Ben recently began his junior year at Valparaiso High School where he stayed active in the percussion section of the band, was a member of the drumline, and played varsity tennis. He liked hanging out with his friends, watching sports, video gaming, and playing basketball, ping pong, and pickleball with his brothers and friends. Ben was a fun-loving person, who enjoyed joking around and having a good time. He will be remembered as a bright student with a happy personality and contagious smile. Ben was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, whose memory will be cherished forever.
Ben is survived by his parents, Riste and Kimberley Gorseski; older brother, Nicholas Gorseski; twin brother, Christopher Gorseski; grandparents: Doris and Edward Ofiara and Jordanka “Baba” Gjorseski; aunts and uncles: Goce and Hristina Gjorseski, David and Jillian Evans, Rilee and Eric Nedved; and many loving cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bogoja “Dedo” Gjorseski.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 12:30 p.m., Father James Greanias officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Ben was such a sweet and good kid. I only spent a few moments with him taking him and my daughter to the skating rink and had him over a few times as well. I have been thinking about Ben and his family since I heard the news. I have mourned his loss with you everyday even though you don’t know me too well I feel your pain. My daughter and I are going to visit Ben very soon as we don’t want his memory to be lost.
